Write the way you talk

How do you explain something tricky to a friend? What does a joke in a gaming chat mean? Why can the same phrase comfort someone or upset them? We’re interested in language today: everyday conversations, messages and expressions from different communities — not just Russian.

In Contributors, you can write a text, invent a dialogue or explain a suggested expression. Write in your own words. In the dialogue editor, you write both sides of the conversation — an AI does not reply for either speaker.

Where to start

Have an idea? Open Materials. Want a question to get you started? Head to Tasks.

    Invent a conversation

    Name your material, set the roles and write each person’s replies. For example, one asks for help with a game and the other explains what to do. This is a dialogue editor, not an AI chat.

  2. 02

    Write your own text

    A story, an explanation or a short scene — whatever suits you. You can add an explanation to an unusual word or expression right in the material, so its meaning in that particular context is clear.

  3. 03

    Try a daily task

    You can receive up to 15 fragments a day — words and expressions to discuss. Each comes with five questions: what it means, when it is used, its tone, an example of your own and where you’ve encountered it. You can select several sources.

    Review and submit

    Reread your material and explanations before sending them. Drafts stay in your browser; submitted material is available in your account on other devices. Submission does not put a text straight into training: it is reviewed first.

Not sure what to write?

Tasks offer words and phrases that need a clearer explanation.

For example, a task about “thanks a lot”

“I helped a friend and they said, ‘Thanks a lot, that really helps!’ Here it means gratitude. After an unkind joke, the same words could express reproach.”

Questions appear one at a time. Explain the meaning, describe a situation and give an example of your own. Don’t know the expression? Press Skip: the task leaves your list. You won’t receive a replacement that day.

A new set arrives at 00:00 Yekaterinburg time. Seven markers show your completion over the week. Each fragment needs five suitable answers from different people, counted after review.

Why this matters to ORCNEIT

You help collect examples of how people really explain things, joke, disagree and understand one another.

A dictionary alone won’t explain why “thanks a lot” can express either gratitude or reproach. We need different situations and explanations. These materials help us study language and prepare data for the language model.

You don’t need to be a linguist. Your experience matters: how friends, colleagues or people in a gaming community talk. Make up your own example instead of copying someone else’s messages.

No one else’s data

Write your own material and keep other people’s private information out. You must be 18 or over to take part.

  • Do not upload ready-made text collections or someone else’s work.
  • Do not copy private conversations, personal data, passwords, or secrets.
  • Do not use automatic generation in place of your own writing.
  • Do not treat the platform as a private messenger or a chat with artificial intelligence.

Start with your own material or your first task. A clear example from everyday life is enough.

Participation is unpaid. Before submitting, you accept an agreement assigning the exclusive right to the company. The transfer takes place after the server receives and saves the material together with your confirmation. Saving a draft in your browser does not transfer any rights.
